Pastor Cheryl Cuthbertson
Cheryl has been teaching at First Church of God in Port Angeles for the last 18 months and has recently accepted the calling to pastor this congregation. Cheryl has over 30 years in ministry leadership to include youth ministry, women’s ministry and global missions. Cheryl is bi-vocational and is also a Senior Advisor in Strategic Alliances for Compassion International. Cheryl has her Masters in Global Leadership from the School of Intercultural Studies at Fuller Seminary and she is currently in the PhD Program at Fuller, School of Theology. Cheryl is also a US Navy Veteran.
“My heart at First Church is to welcome those that are seeking answers to challenges for this world and who have found their way into our community of believers. I am especially energized by the curiosity and excitement of young people when they realize that the same God that created the universe has also invited them to participate with him in establishing his kingdom on earth. Combining over twenty years in the business world along with my passion for ministry and my heart for social justice, I am committed to serving God through the local church.
Most important in my life is following God wherever he leads. I am committed to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ by walking in His footsteps. I am blessed to have an amazing and supportive family (my brother, 2 children, 2 daughters in law and 8 grandchildren). I have a strong church family that support me in our ministry, and it is my honor to walk with them on this journey as we seek God together.”
